Coachella is a hot and sweaty music festival in the California desert each year, and Panorama was its sister festival in the middle of NYC. Over the past few years, I’ve designed a variety of apps (within HP / Intel brand guidelines) that enable users to interact with digital experiences at the event.
1. The Light Ink app controlled an animated laser experience, that played out on the upper reaches of the ceiling of the HP/Intel air-conditioned lounge. Users could select from prebuilt animations, or create their own by drawing with the stylus.
2. The Bandana Inking app allowed attendees to design a pattern to be printed on fabric onsite with HP large-format printers.
3. With Bloom Art, users controlled dynamic flowers suspended from the ceiling in the exhibit space. The flowers were lit, and had the ability to fold and unfold on command, powered by a pneumatic system.
4. The Infinity Mirror Light Cube needed an app for the brand ambassadors to control the experience for users. It was just a simple, well-designed queue display with a few controls.
